Dr Stefano Borini joins Graphitene

April 1, 2016 – London, U.K. — Graphitene International Limited (GIL) is pleased to announce that Dr Stefano Borini has joined the company as Business Development Manager.

Stefano joins Graphitene building on extensive experience in the graphene industry, most recently as Research Leader at Nokia Technologies, leading R&D teams in Graphene Systems and in Graphene Electronics. In addition to this, Stefano coordinated all Nokia activities within the Graphene Flagship Project, and was a member of both the Graphene Flagship Executive Board and the Graphene Flagship Standardisation Committee, as well as the Scientific Advisory Board of the Graphene Week 2016 Conference.

Prior to this, Stefano was a Principal Researcher at the Nokia Research Centre in Cambridge, UK, leading research projects on graphene technology for sensing applications, and was Nokia UK’s Principal Investigator in the Graphene Flagship Project. Before moving to Nokia, Stefano was a researcher at the Italian National Institute of Metrological Research (INRIM), representing INRIM in two EU Projects (Enabling ultimate metrological Quantum Hall Effect devices– ULQHE, and Metrology for Chemical Pollutants in the Air – MACPoll ), and leading the Graphene-based tasks.

Stefano’s impressive industrial background is borne out by more than 50 publications in international peer-reviewed journals, and 28 patent applications, mostly regarding nanomaterials and graphene technology and applications.

Graphitene are pleased to welcome Stefano to the team, and look forward to working with him on many exciting opportunities now and in the future.
